Event Description:
After a history and mini physical is done, if all is well, one unit (pint) of blood is drawn from a vein in the crook of the arm. Refreshments are served. It is recommended to come to the Drive well-hydrated and to eat a meal four hours or less before giving blood. Donors must weigh at least 110 lbs. and be 17 or older. Michigan law permits 16 year-olds to give with parental consent. See www.redcrossblood.org
