Event Description:
Join us and learn how to recycle jeans into a beautiful rag rug! Learn how to make durable, heirloom quality floor coverings – simply and inexpensively. Participant swill use our looms and materials in this two session class to learn the basics. Age range: Teen to Adult. Cost for the class is $30 and includes your finished rug. Class size is limited to six. Call the library to register and pay to hold a spot. In the first class, participants will learn how to prepare materials for twining, warp their loom, and get started on their rug. They will finish it off in the second class. Class taught by Larry Thayer In addition, participants will have the opportunity to buy the loom they are working on for another $30 The rug you will be making won first place at the Hudsonville Community Fair!
