Event Description:
The Friends of the Library Presents.... This Is A New Monthly Series of Literary Events! Come join us monthly for a variety of topics. The Book of Hours September 8: 1-2p Explore the best selling book of the Middle Ages, the Book of Hours, an illuminated manuscript, with Dr. Henry Luttikhuizen, professor of Art History at Calvin College. October 13: Journey back in time to the 1950’s with Wilma Quist, the Hat Lady, as she shares songs and stories of the “Rock Around the Clock” era. November 10: Join Chef Terri Rees as she demonstrates using Michigan cranberries and the art of working with phyllo to make easy holiday appetizers to brighten your table! December 8: Celebrate the Christmas season. Learn about the controversial history behind “The Twelve Days of Christmas” and enjoy other seasonal readings. All events will be held at the library from 1-2p.
