Workshop with CEO Action Fellows
On behalf of Herman Miller and Crowe LLP, Kim Koeman and Victor Sturgis are participating in the CEO Action for Racial Equity fellowship. Along with 250 fellows from more than 100 businesses across the US, they are identifying, developing, and promoting public policies and corporate engagement strategies that address systemic racism and social injustice. Join us to find out more about CEO Action, their experiences as fellows, and why this work matters for our community.
Kim Koeman has an avidity for telling stories through creative and compelling content. She empowers people to use their voice to shape narratives, build bridges, and enhance communities. Kim joined Herman Miller in 2018, lending her own voice to brand initiatives and campaigns. She holds a BA in Art from Calvin College and an MA in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Missouri-Columbia. As a CEO Action for Racial Equity fellow, Kim is advancing racial equity through education policy. She’s a busy mom of three young children and serves on the leadership team of Women of Color Give, a philanthropic
collective by and for women of color.
Victor Sturgis has strong belief in stewardship. He believes it is our job as citizens of our communities, and employees of our companies, to leave things better than how we found them for everyone that comes after us. As an employee at Crowe LLP since 2012, Victor is driven by this belief, and many other values, as a Tax Advisor and innovator for his clients and leader of the firm’s African American Business Resource Group. He also represents the firm on many diversity and inclusion task forces and committees throughout the accounting profession, including the Michigan Society of CPAs and the Construction Financial Management Association. Victor has a master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Michigan—GO BLUE! In October 2020, he began a 2-year commitment to the Economic Empowerment pillar of the CEO Action for Racial Equity Fellowship.
